5 Simple Strategies to Help You Overcome the Overwhlem and Start Producing Outcomes!
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the possibilities that await you? Do you find that literally every day there is a new idea, gadget, tool, training tip etc. that promises to make realizing your goals easier? I’ve been there.
The abundance of “good ideas” have often kept me paralyzed rather than expanding my reach. I, too, have found myself at a place of doubt, confusion and information overload.
Here are 5 simple strategies to help you overcome the overwhelm and finally get the results you desire.
1.Eliminate the clutter by developing a clear plan of action. What are your goals for expanding over the next 30 days? 60 days? Write them down.
2. Take action DAILY that leads toward fulfilling your plan. – As leaders more than likely you’re great at goal setting but kind of weak in the implementation. Can I share with you a secret? Miracles happen along the way to forward motion.
3.Get an accountability buddy. – If you’ve followed me you know one of my mantras is expansion takes a team effort – you can’t do it alone. If you’re trying to do it by yourself- STOP! It’s not fruitful and you’ll move a lot faster with help. Featured here is my accountability partner Tommi Wolfe. Not only is she fun to be around but she is a woman of faith and an entrepreneur whose on the move. Most of all “she gets me”! We celebrate our wins and overcome our challenges together! Though Tommi is hundreds of miles away from me–the benefits of this connection shine brightly in my ministry and my life as a whole.
4. Hire a coach/mentor. – “In the multitude of counsel there is wisdom.” One way to ensure you’re on the right track to achieving your desired goals is to enlist the support of a mentor or coach who can guide you along your journey. Personally, I have a few great coaches in my life – a creativity coach, a spiritual mentor, and a business coach—just to name a few.
Hiring a coach is not an act of surrender nor does it rather it’s a sign that you’re ready to move forward with precision. Just take a look at the “superstars” in any industry. One thing they all have in common is that they are coached; speech coach, sports coach, media coach, etc.
You were created to leave an imprint on the world. Don’t let “good ideas”, the constant noise of the crowd, or your fear of asking for help keep you from doing what you were created to do. As you go about your journey remember this “Expanding Your Reach is not optional; it’s mandatory. Failure to expand is not modest, but denying others the opportunity to experience God through you.”
